Censer cultivation

Censer is usually propagated by seeds.. You can collect seeds from wild plants (late June - early July) or buy them in a store. Sown with seeds in July. It must be remembered that the censer seeds during storage quickly lose their germination capacity, so it is better to sow freshly harvested. These plants need fertile, substance-rich, structured and well-drained soil. Remember that the censer does not like bright sunlight, it is better to plant it at partial shade. Before sowing, the soil is loosened to a depth of 20-25 cm, organic fertilizers are applied (approximately 2 kg per m2), and the censer seeds themselves are sown to a depth of 2-3 cm. The distance between the holes is usually 40 cm. The first seedlings appear next year, in May. In the first year, they grow to 30 cm. Censer seedlings enter the generative phase from the second year of development.

An alternative way to seed propagation for a censer is vegetative: cuttings and division of the bush. The censer is usually divided at the beginning of the growing season, in April or in the fall (September-beginning of October), when regeneration buds are formed. A cherenkovka censer is best carried out during the flowering period. Cuttings root under a plastic film in the shade, usually after a month, and rooting reaches 60%.
